God, it's been a while

Hey everyone, sorry for the huge gap, but... I honestly don't even know. I've been pretty bus y with Uni, but I finished bout 2 weeks ago, so I've no excuses really... Now, what's been going on? Ah, yes...

I've bought the new Warhammer Fantasy Rulebook, so I'm finally able to play that again - I have missed it. 40k's awesome, but it doesn't much test me tactically. Fantasy does, and I'm well on my way to making a gunline Wissenland army... maybe I'm doing this wrong, I dunno; leaving 40k so I can play as a shooty army...
Incidentally, I got the Rulebook for my 19th... bit depressing really - I've only got one year - well, 8 months no- exactly 8 months! God my birthday is 8 months tomorrow... wow, in just 2/3's of a year I'm going to be leaving my teenage years behind... My childhood gone forever...

Sorry, got a bit off topic there - should stop listenin to depressin music... so, let's continue, shall we?

I've now a small Space Marine Fleet for Gothic. I've been wanting to for a while, and my mate keeps buggin me, so I eventually gave in... or rather, asked him to pool everyone's presents for me and order me a fleet... I still haven't played a game though, because...

We're doing Inquisitor! I finally convinced my friends to try it, and they loved it. Took a bit of time to teach em  - we're all still a bit shaky on the rules - but it's definately been worth it. I've now got my Character sorted, though I fancy convertin the model a bit when I get round to it... th basic model is one of the Necromunda Arbites patrol leaders - you know, the one in the big cloak, pistol and maul in hand - but I just don't like his head. I mean, it's a lovely model, but it just doesn't look like an Inquisitor. So, I'm thinkin of replacing it with a converted Deathmark head. I took my inspiration from this:

Bakunin Jurisdictional Force
The one centre left... or left on the back row, or 3rd rom the left,
your choice...
So, I was thinking, just cut off the head, remove the lower jaw from a deathmark, and fit em together. I think it oughta work, and would be quite like the Thorian Inquisitor.

I don't own the picture opposite. I'm borrowing it under the fair usages act, it belongs to Corvus Belli, all rights reserved.

What else... I'm getting back into Necromunda, though I'm yet to do anything about it, barring making a gang... it's rather annoying actually - I've always played as Escher, but my tactics favour House Delaque... jsut too bad I hate the bald buggers.

Er, lets see... Ah, damn - I've made an Imperial Jetbike! Well, The Unjust did originally, but he showed me how to do it, and had a spare engine, so I made an Imperial counterpart. I'll make a post about it once I get it painted up. I've just gotta find a rider.

Finally, and possibly most importantly, I have created Witch Hunter... no, not painted a Witch Hunter - though I have; they are beautiful models - I've made the game. Basically, I was idly leafing through the Inquisitor Rulebook a while ago, with the unpainted model on my desk, when I thought to myself 'why isn't there a fantasy equivalent?' So I decided to make one.
It started out quite simple - I made a series of conversionary charts, for character profiles (Inquisitors are Witch Hunters, Imperial Guard Veterans are State Troopers, etc.), equipment, weapons and skills. turning the Psychic Disciplines into the Schools of Magic was probably the hardest part - and one of the disciplines is Pyromancy, so that'll give you an idea of how easy it was. Realistically though, I wasn't content with this, so I made Racial expansions; for everyone, really, but Chaos and Ogres, who would just be far to overpowered really... Lizardmen are probably pushing it, but at least they have the manners to ban armour.

So, yeah, that's what I've been up to. I'll get the How To: build a jetbike up soon as it's painted. I'll post the Witch Hunter rules at some point too, just it's still in the development phase, and I'm still fine tuning the rules... I've had to completely re-write how reloads work, and so far all but basic melee weapons are unusable...

As an aside, every time I see that picture, I really wanna start Infinity... but, as you can probably see, I've got enough on my plate for now.

Anyway, that's wat I've been up to. Cheers for readin

Oh, no, hell! There's something I forgot - since my last post, I've started readign the Soul Drinker series. Dembski-Bowden has this thing where he actually makes up the language they're speaking in, you know, as opposed to just saying '"hello," he said in Nostraman', he actually writes in it. Nostraman. It's actually really good, and I'd advise the books. But it got me thinkin 'could I do that?'. I mean, I've made up a lot of fluff for my primary army - The Black Blades - and this seemed the next step. So, I now have a Rhiannon Alphabet, and a few phrases in Rhiannon. It's still in it's infancy, but I've got the basic pacing and some grammar. So, yeah Leeos dreeah ayyen - Lion bless you, I'm out
